Here is some general information to acquaint you with my prints. After reading this, feel free to ask questions: “sales@Landyvision.com

This is a general idea of my prices, please inquire for specific images. Not all images are available.
I make two types of prints: Traditional Silver based photographic prints or Archival Fine Art Giclee prints. I sign both the same way: Beneath the image, I write the name of the artist, place and year on the left and sign the print on the right. On some prints, I write something in the center. I also sign my name on the back of the print and the year it was printed.

Giclee prints:
Fine Art Giclee prints are printed on a glossy paper, the archival life of which has been tested to be 82 years before any perceptual change in color or fading occurs.

I also have a second type of print, printed on textured fine art paper with an archival life of 200 years. This is only available for some images.

Sheet size Image Size Retail Price-US dollars
11 x 14 8.5 x 13 $0400
13 x 19 11 x 17 $ 800
18 x 24 15 x 22.5 $ 1,150

(Image sizes for all of the above are approximate since the negative sizes vary.)

My advice:

In most cases are The Silver Gelatin prints (the traditional classic type of photographic print) are a better quality image and are the type most highly valued by collectors. Their value will increase over the years as they are being phased out as the standard medium of photographic printing.

However, framed Giclee prints, are close to the same visual quality as the traditional silver based print. Unless you compare them side by side you would not notice anything “missing” from the Giclee print. The Giclee print is nicer than most prints you would see anywhere. The difference is luxury vs. super luxury, not minimal vs. luxury.

As this difference varies from image to image, please ask me my opinion for various images you may be interested in. I use Giclee prints for many of my exhibitions, including the 14 prints which were on exhibit in the Whitney Museum in NYC for 5 months. So, if you just want to look at the image and enjoy it, the Giclees are fine. If you want the collector’s value or that little edge, choose the Silver prints.

If you purchase prints you have not seen personally, I offer a return policy on some of them but not all. It depends on whether I have the print in stock or have to make it specially for your order. Please inquire about this specifically and I must send you a confirming email if the return privilege is to apply.

(In addition to the general pricing above, I have a few different types of “premium prints available for sale, including vintage prints, Cibachrome and Platinum series prints.)
