This
CD-ROM was originally created for Panasonic Interactive
who released it in 1997. Six months later, that division
of Panasonic went out of business and the rights were
returned to me. I now release it on my own label.
You can view the photos from the CD-ROM on this website,
although the files on the CD-ROM are much higher quality
and are not watermarked with the copyright information.
The
CD-ROM contains:
· 450 photographs and 65 colorized "pixilated
photos" in a gallery format
·
Do Your Own Thing - A make-your-own slideshow module
·
8 "Photo Talks" (slideshows) with my narration
·
Text from three of my books including:
1. Woodstock Vision, The Spirit of A Generation
Published 1994
Text by Elliott Landy
2. Woodstock Vision
This is a totally different book than the one above
- a book of my photos published only in Germany in
1984
Text by Niko Hansen, translated from the German
3. Woodstock 69, The First Festival
Edited by me, the text tells the story of the festival
through interviews with people who created and attended
it.
Text edited by Elliott Landy and Diana Oestreich.
·
A video of me talking about my life and work
·
A brief, roughly cut, music video I made from some
of my Jimi Hendrix photos.
·
Looped - A very cool program, which superimposes two
randomly selected images with random colorizations.
This produces new combinations that you can keep grooving
on. It can be played continuously and is supposed
to keep changing, ad infinitum, often creating impressionistic
imagery which I save with a screen grab. A kind of
art-generating machine, this module alone is worth
the price of the CD-ROM!
·
Four Music tracks including:
o Goodnight Rose by Jon and Kate Russo
o Ramblin Jungle by Garth Hudson
o The Woodstock Song by Jim Ferretti
o Star Spangled Banner by Jimi Hendrix (at Woodstock)
·
Capability to play the photos continuously in any
order or selections you like or randomly.
